[CentOS] Is there a FC8 update repo out there?

sounds like you're referring to PyVault (http://www.python.org/ 
pyvault/).  unfortunately, there is not yet a distribution for CentOS 5.

i remember having some degree of success with the PyVault RPMs for  
CentOS 3, though.
