there is a section labeled Virtualization that is specific to
CentOS. There's also a short introduction as to what virtualization
does.

Google will probably answer a lot of your questions as well. "linux
virtualization" leads to many pieces of information including
kernelnewbies.org which provides a technical overview of
virtualization here: http://virt.kernelnewbies.org/TechOverview
