[CentOS] sshd won't bind to tun0

Are you specifying the ListenAddress in /etc/sshd/sshd_config?  The
default is to bind using a wild card which should pick up any interface.
What does your output from "netstat -l" look like?  
On my vpn server, the listen for ssh looks like this:

Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address               Foreign Address             State      
tcp        0      0 *:ssh                       *:*                         LISTEN
