Also, Linux is not very well documented IMO - there's a lot of "magic" stuff to be done that is not documented or only in not-so-obvious places. Man-pages for background-knowledge on operating-system stuff are often unheard of.... Instead, there are thousand of oh-so-slightly different how-tos that are more often than not outdated or plain wrong.... If developers don't write documentation, nobody else does (and if somebody else actually does, it becomes outdated very quickly). That is the problem of Linux. Rainer
