The --force option is probably at fault.  You likely have a dependency that
was unsatisfied. Can you try uninstalling the reinstalling?  Or, maybe
querying rpm:

rpm -q --requires ghostscript|sort|uniq|xargs rpm -q --whatprovides

Look for something that says, "no package provides xxx"
