Not really. Both rebuild RHEL releases. Scientific Linux adds a few things and changes a few things. We also make Scientific Linux Fermi which takes Scientific Linux and adds a few things and changes a few things. There is nothing to say that a base rebuild could be with less changes and thus more Centos like, then use that base for Scientific Linux and Scientific Linux Fermi.
