10G is plenty. I have it running with about 5G


[root at xm-c32-001 ~]# vgs
  VG         #PV #LV #SN Attr   VSize   VFree
  rootvg       1   5   0 wz--n-   5.88G 576.00M

The VG is 6G. Actual use is about 3G.  This machine runs fileserver,
