RHEL/CentOS 2.6.18 kernel is very far from kernel.org/upstream 2.6.18.
RHEL/CentOS 2.6.18 kernel contains a LOT of bugfixes and also
feature-backports from newer kernel versions.
.. including AHCI drivers.
