(You can search Fedora forum, look for threads on systemd with the user jpollard--they've apparently had some serious issues with it.) It does seem, though this may be my age and grouchiness speaking, that much of the development used to be done by people who thought like system administrators, whereas these days, it's done by people who think like smartphone users.
