There is no '/proc/net/bond0' directory, but there is '/proc/net/bonding'. The dev_snmp6 file relates to IPv6 SNMP variables for the bond0 interface - not the same thing. You will find that some of the info out on the 'net relating to bonded interfaces is out of date. I suspect some of the 'howtos' you have looked at are examples of that.
