Do an nmap scan on svn.mplayerhq.hu. Look for svn / subversion in etc services to see which port you specifically need to have open. I'd bet your upstream firewall is blocking the port. You can try connection to the host + port with "nc -w2 -v" to see if you get connected. Type some junk and you should see some error back from the server.
