If there's sufficient customer demand _and_ if RH decide it's worth it then they might support it. However I can tell you that the 20,000+ RH machines at my place will not be major-version upgraded in-place; they'll be rebuilt (possibly onto new hardware; maybe onto a split-mirror). That's how we do Linux; that's how we do Solaris; heck, that's even how we do AIX. Our support dollars are pushing RedHat in a different direction.
