Video is on the MB.  It doesn't seem likely that it's
the video, since the system doesn't respond to network
when it crashes.

It could be anything.  That's why I'm looking for
something that would give me a bit of a hint what
to look at.  With an infrequent failure, it's not
practical to replace components piecemeal.
