With Centos 5.5, my external USB drive appears to self mount in that the icon appears on the desktop and when I double click on it, the files are there. However, I recall that I need to make an entry in the fstab as well as some other changes. When I do a # /sbin/fdisk -l I learn that the device is /dev/sda1 and the system is HPFS/NTFS I am not sure what to enter into the file system table, fstab and if other entries/directories need to be made.
