There are several files in /boot all containing a kernel version in the name, like: config-2.6.18-194.17.4.el5 initrd-2.6.18-194.17.4.el5.centos.plus.img symvers-2.6.18-194.17.4.el5.centos.plus.gz vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.17.4.el5 etc. There is also an important folder named 'grub', and one additional file named 'message'
