Backports like the big ones RH did for C5 do not exist in any Ubuntu release. So please, do not ever compare Ubuntu LTS with RHEL. Ubuntu LTS is a joke. Of course, currently Centos 6 is a joke too but the landscape is probably going to change very soon.
