[CentOS] Killing a Service

Hi;
I get this:
]# /etc/init.d/dovecot start
Starting Dovecot Imap: Fatal: listen(143) failed: Address already in use
and this:
]# netstat -ltn

returns *nothing*. How do I figure out which program is using tcp to listen on port 143?
