On the other hand, RHEL/CentOS are very mainstream.  If you think you
need a package that someone hasn't already made easily available, you
might want to question why your needs are unique - and whether the
package is worth the chance of breaking your system.

"Installation" should be something you do once a decade.  I predict
you'll get tired of doing it repeatedly.
