There are several reboot options you could try. They're defined in
/usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-2.6.32/Documentation/x86/x86_64/boot-options.txt

so you could have reboot=bios, reboot=triple, reboot=kbd, reboot=acpi, etc.

Supposedly you can stack them as well, but I prefer cycling through them to
find the one that works, and using it.
