I wasn't paying much attention, but I remember a day or two ago, someone was complaining about python updates. From the RH alerts... <snip> This update fixes the following bug: * Previously, the dependencies between the Python subpackages were set erroneously and caused problems with the inclusion of i686 multilib packages in the x86_64 channels. After this update, the dependencies have been resolved and the Python packages install as expected. (BZ#1033111) All users of python are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug. --- which I think was explicitly the problem.... mark
