For example look how MicroSoft has improved Windows since XPsp3.;-^) Not sure when the capability was added, but the Windows Server versions' ability to convert a standard single NTFS volume to dynamiic and then add a RAID mirror is really quite nice. And unlike the linux counterparts it works on the fly with full backwards compatibility.
