After Karanbir answer, the redhat-release file has indeed changed after a new 'yum update'. It it now : [root at centos-test ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release CentOS Linux release 7.1.1503 (Core) Thanks. It could indeed impact such tools as Dell OMSA ant a lot others I think.
