For virtualization, I would create a LVM VG (Volume Group), and for each virtual disk, create a LV (Logical Volume). Normally, I don't put virtual disks on the same drive(s) as my OS but if this is a single drive server, there's not much choice in the matter. -- john, recycling bits in santa cruz
