I was toying with the idea as well but personally decided it would be 
better to just create and maintain a private repo that updates the 
CentOS packages I want to modify.

To make a custom spin I would have to maintain such a repo anyway, so 
since none of my mods involve booting hardware not already supported, 
installation of a yum repo file followed by a yum update is a lot less 
work and for all practical purposes the end result is the same.

That being said, I would like to see the build process too. I know it 
has been documented before but I don't know if the current build process it.
