[CentOS] Question on 7.2 and weird characters

When I run this command:
rm /tmp/jerry.txt
rm: remove regular file â/tmp/jerry.txtâ?

I get the a with the carrot on top...

How do I get back to the normal characters ?

echo $TERM
linux
