yes, but impossible to stay up-to-date forever,
as the upgrade e.g. from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7 is not supported ...

the goal would have been, to have a Linux as my desktop instead of 
Windows one day ...
my virtual machines are not just Windows, also some ancient things ...
