[CentOS] more recent perl version?

Apparently that doesn´t work because apache uses mod_perl, which keeps
it stuck at the ancient version of perl.

But there is a package 'rh-perl524-mod_perl'.  It pulls in 'httpd24-httpd'
and other things.  Now if I can figure out how to use that, it´ll probably
work ...
