Everyone, I have had some continued difficulties in getting yum update to download and update perl-ExtUtils-ParseXS-3.18-3.el7.noarch after the update from 7.3 to 7.4 on several machines. I have had to --exclude this rpm from the command line to make the update happen. I was unable to identify this problem on the known issues of : https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7?action=show&redire ct=Manuals%2FReleaseNotes%2FCentOS7.1708#head- 281c090cc4fbc6bb5c7d4cd82a266fce807eee7c The error messages I get are : Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package perl-ExtUtils-ParseXS.noarch 1:3.18-2.el7 will be updated ---> Package perl-ExtUtils-ParseXS.noarch 1:3.18-3.el7 will be an update --> Finished Dependency Resolution Dependencies Resolved ================================================================= Package Arch Version Repository Size ================================================================= Updating: perl-ExtUtils-ParseXS noarch 1:3.18- 3.el7 base 77 k Transaction Summary ================================================================= Upgrade 1 Package Total download size: 77 k Is this ok [y/d/N]: y Downloading packages: No Presto metadata available for base perl-ExtUtils-ParseXS-3.18-3.e FAILED http://mirror.rackspace.com/CentOS/7.4.1708/os/x86_64/Packages/perl-Ext Utils-ParseXS-3.18-3.el7.noarch.rpm: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden Trying other mirror. To address this issue please refer to the below knowledge base article https://access.redhat.com/solutions/69319 If above article doesn't help to resolve this issue please create a bug on https://bugs.centos.org/ Unfortunately, access to the solution 69319 requires RedHat login and I do not have an account. Have any of you had the same problem and identified the solution? Thanks for your help!!! Greg Ennis ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone, The problem was no not related to the repositories, but rather to our squid servers on the gateway. An easy fix once the problem was identified. Greg _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS at centos.org https://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
