OK .. if you run this as root, it will tell you what the actual video
card is what what driver and/or kernel module is in use:
for card in $(lspci | grep ' VGA ' | cut -d" " -f 1); do \
lspci -v -s $card; done

With that info, you can troubleshoot the specific driver or kernel module.
