I also had to look around for a solution because firefox seems to
ignore any changes to gtk3 themes.
Here is what works for me (change px as needed):
cat ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css
.scrollbar.vertical slider,
scrollbar.vertical slider {
min-width: 15px;
}
.scrollbar.horizontal slider,
scrollbar.horizontal slider {
min-height: 15px;
}
