So after much looking I found /usr/libexec/qemu-kvm. I got everything going except - how do I specify on the command line that I want a window console to pop up ? I want to see all the boot messages and then get a login prompt in a window. I'm sure I'm missing something easy. I tried the "-vga std" but that did not give me a console window. Jerry
