      Thanks for the reply. I rebooted it and uname still reported the
same kernel as mentioned above.

Unfortunately, the latest kernel listed by rpm agrees with uname:

[raub at testbox ~]$ rpm -qa kernel
kernel-4.18.0-193.el8.x86_64
kernel-4.18.0-240.10.1.el8_3.x86_64
[raub at testbox ~]$
