This is one of the things
https://github.com/cgwalters/centos-ci-skeleton
does, but I would like indeed to push this logic down into Duffy,
as discussed earlier on the list.

All we need is a way to inject a little bit of metadata (e.g. < 1k)
associated with a request and be able to get it back out when
doing an inventory.
