CI Maintenance Window 27-May-2016 01h00 - 02h00 UTC (26-May-2016 21h00 - 22h00 EDT)

Hi Folks, We will be having a maintenance window starting at 1AM UTC on Friday, May 27th to do the following work: - Upgrade to the latest Jenkins LTS - Upgrade all plugins (including the Github Plugin) to their latest versions - Install the Pipeline Plugin (bug: 10825) - Update the ansible version on slave01.ci.centos.org 1.9.2 -> 1.9.6 - Reboot the storage node The following services will be affected: - ci.centos.org: Jenkins Frontend - artifacts.ci.centos.org: File availability As usual we will have a quiet period starting 1 hour before in order to let pending jobs clear out. Can we have access to the new openstack infrastructure? Access should probably be for Ari, SK, myself, and Bill Peck. Let me know what info you need and I'll provide it. I originally just mailed this to KB, but since the access is broader, it's probably best to do this in the open. Thanks! herlo

duffy/networking hangups

I'm seeing rather frequent issues where jobs that allocate a Duffy machine and ssh in end up losing network between my slave and the duffy machine - I can't ping even. https://ci.centos.org/job/atomic-fedora-ws-treecompose/49/console is an example run, but there are a number of others. Are there any available server side logs that might help debug this?

adding content to the output of duffy

hi guys, In the coming days, I am going to try and add some more content to the json returned on calls made into duffy. My take on this is : if everyone is parsing json cleanly, this should not break any existing tooling. Reaping on schedule

hi folks, >From this weekend on we are going to start reaping everyone's machines. There are a few people with machines allocated that are not in reserved state, that will get powered down on Monday, so if there is anything you need from those nodes, please ensure that you back it up before the weekend. There are a few options : 1) stage your data on the artifacts machine if you need content to persist 2) in exception cases ( like libvirt and libguestfs ) we can reserve a node that you can self manage, that way it wont get reaped. But you need a good reason why we need to block a physical machine. If your project is already in the reclaim pool, this wont impact you. Unable to access ci.centos.org from within Duffy

I'm trying to write a job which reads from: https://ci.centos.org/artifacts/sig-atomic/rdgo/centos-continuous/ However on the Duffy node: # host ci.centos.org ci.centos.org has address 172.19.0.13 # Which appears to be something entirely different, it's a Jetty server (Server: Jetty(winstone-2.9)). I tried working around this by using the public IP: ``` curl http://66.187.224.197/artifacts/sig-atomic/rdgo/centos-continuous/build/rep… ``` But that just times out. I can likely work around this by using rsync or some other way to get content from artifacts, but it'd be really a lot better if I could read them over HTTP.

New f24-i686 and ubuntu16.04 slaves for libguestfs

Updating Ansible on Slave

Howdy, I was trying to use linch-pin that I found ( https://github.com/CentOS-PaaS-SIG/linch-pin) to spin up machines; however it requires Ansible 2.1. What is the accepted ways to handle situations where on the slave new versions of packages may be needed to call out to Duffy? Thanks, Eric

Workflow/Pipeline Script Error

Howdy, I am attempting to use the Workflow/Pipeline plugin to define a job using JJB with a groovy script given that is what the plugin requires. However, when I do, I run into this error: org.jenkinsci.plugins.scriptsecurity.scripts.UnapprovedUsageException: script not yet approved for use Is this a Jenkins administrator configuration that needs changing?
