[CentOS] Dumb question about a Xeon Procesor

It should simply work (unless the server is something excotic).  Xeons 
are basically Pentiums on steroids (and frankly, they are not as fast as 
they are expensive).  Older Xeons are 32-bit.  Some newer Xeons are 
64-bit (the "EM64T").
