Ricardo,
I have a SuperMicro as well and could not get the Adaptec to work
either. I purchased a MegaRAID SCSI 320-2X (532) and am in the process
of doing some testing with it right now. So far it is working
perfectly. I have it set up as RAID 1 for the operating system and RAID
5 for the database drives. Other reports I received on the Adaptec
spooked me from using it.
