Well the patch maintainer told me to use the 18.104.22.168 patch, but...

I am kind of thinking this patch is for FC6's 22.214.171.124 kernel, which as
you hint is different from RHEL/Centos' 126.96.36.199 kernel.
Oh, I WAS told NOT to use the patch for 188.8.131.52
