[CentOS] can NOT update CENTOS use YUM

'Connection refused' sounds like a firewall problem to me.  I have no problem
accessing that URL.  Try it in a browser from a different location and you
should get back a list of URLs.  Can you access other internet locations from
this server?  Once you have the connections working you might want to read
http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.3 if you haven't already.  I
don't know if the advice to update glibc\*, etc. is a requirement starting from
5.1 or not, but I'd do it that way anyway.
