Dual Monitors

I have a PC with an Nvidia Quadro Card in it and it is running CentOS 4.0(all current). I want to set up dual monitors but when I go into the display gui to set it up, X reloads and an error comes up and says it cant load X using this config. This is the only video card in the system and I am trying to hook up two identical ViewSonic VG800 monitors. Single monitor works fine but when try to add second, it fails to load X. Any thoughts? -- Richard Humphrey

caci problem in CentOS-4

I started the named server on CentOS and it seems to resolve DNS request OK, but it does not seem to retain the info for very long. From what I can tell using "dig", a domain's ip address is retained for less than 12 hours. So in the morning, it takes 4+ seconds to resolve again the first time. Is there an adjustment somewhere for this or is the caching named support not enabled by default? Also, I thought it would be faster if I set named to use my ISP's named server as the first choice. Trouble mounting a second drive

I am tying to mount a second hard drive to my server with CentOS installed on the primary hard drive. I need to get some data off of the drive. It also has Linux installed on it. It was the primary hard drive on the system it was installed on. When I set it up as the second disk it will not boot the drive because it has /boot partition on it. So it conflicts with the /boot partition on the primary drive. How can I boot up the computer so it sees this drive so I can move the data across to the primary drive. -- Best regards, Richard mailto:rdkurth@starband.net

I have a system that I just installed with CentOS 4.0. It is an HP NetServer E 60 with dual CPUs and 1G RAM. There is an Adaptec AIC-7895 built into the motherboard.
