yum update error

I wanted to update to CentOS 4.3 from CentOS 4.2. While updating packages using yum, there was serveral error messages, and I've found that some packages has not been updated. So I tried to update again but the packages would not be updated. I attached the messages shown below. Delay in SSH login..

Hi, I have CentOS 4.3 running on my AMD Athlon XP(32 bit) PC and Windows 2000 running on my other Intel P3 PC(These 2 PCs are connected using a network switch). Basically I use the one running Linux as back end server and everything was fine so far. But recently I am experiencing some delay in loggin in to CentOS through SSH. The Putty client which I use generally opens up asking for username prompt(no delay in that) but after entering the password it takes atleast 10-15 seconds gap before I logged in. It was fine before and I am sure I didn't made any changes to linux configuration. Can anyone please help me with this issue. By the way I always use the IP address like($ ssh user(a)192.168.0.xxx without any hostname) thanks Lin

Vmware server on centos x86_64server

I had this working once but had to re-use the machine and didn't keep track of what it took. Does anyone have a list of the extra packages needed to run vmware server on a machine with the single-disk x86_64 server install + updates. glibc.i686 installed ok, but xorg-x11-libs.i386 has a conflict with fontconfig that I don't recall from the previous time. Anaconda Exeption

Ethernet bandwith problem ...

Hello I experienced strange problem with bandwith. My CentOS 4.3 x86_64 server is a gateway to Internet. The uplink is 20 Mbps full duplex Eth card is part of NForce4 chipset, the module is "forcedeth" As a testing tool we use "iperf" http://dast.nlanr.net/Projects/Iperf/ By test we decide downloda is only 10 Mbps (upload is 18-20 Mbps) The first suspect was ISP, so we did test in cooperation. ISP Our site FreeBSD ========= FreeBSD (ISP test machine) TCP&UDP down 20 Mbps TCP&UDP up 20 Mbps TCP&UDP up 20 Mbps TCP&UDP down 20 Mbps result: link is Ok The second and final suspect was our gateway: ISP Our site FreeBSD ========= CentOS 4.3 UDP down 20 Mbps UDP up 20 Mbps UDP up 20 Mbps UDP down 20 Mbps BUT TCP down 20 Mbps TCP up 20 Mbps TCP up 10-12 Mbps TCP down 10-12 Mbps SO: there is an problem with TCP ??? raid setup

Hi, I have 2 identical xSeries 346 with 2 identical IBM 72GB scsi drive. What i did is install the centos 4.2 serverCD on the first IBM and set the HDD to raid1 and raid0 for swap. Now what i did is get the 2nd HDD in the 1st Server swap it with the 1st HDD in the 2nd Server and rebuild the Raids. The 1st server rebuild the array fine. My problem is the Second server, after rebuilding it and rebooted it, i need to rebuild the 2nd HDD again in the 2nd Server i don't know what went wrong.
