Add RAID after install in one disk

Hi, I had this hard time installing a server with RAID 1 by software. I always got an error from GRUB and no booting. So, i've installed CentOS 4.4 normally in only one disk. Question is: is it possible now to make a RAID 1 by software with the other disk ? If so, how ? I'm completely lost here. Any help would be appreciated. Warm Regards, Mário Gamito

LDAP error

Hi, When i try to inser this on LDAP database, i get this error: "ldapadd: invalid format (line 14) entry: "uid=spessoa,ou=users,ou=accounts,dc=telbit,dc=pt"" I can't see nothing wrong. The .ldif file follows my signature. Any help would be appreciated. Well after your advice I thought I better had take a look at FreeNX. 10 minutes later, all up and running and I agree, it is a lot nicer solution. ptyxx ports

With the 2.6 kernels we have lost the ability to use ptyxx and ttyxx for the installation of various ports. I am thinking of attaching a modem etc to an axip or other similar port and for that I always used ptyxx/ttyxx to do this. SMP on a HP DL-320 G2

Hi gang! At work I have a DL320 G2 machine I use as my desktop (I know, weird!...). Back when I ran RHEL WS 2.1 on it, it always ran a SMP kernel because it has a HypterThread capable processor. When I installed (fresh from scratch) Centos 4.4 on it a while back, though, Centos installed only the UP kernel. I've looked in the BIOS for settings to enable/disable HT support and I don't see anything. I've force-installed the SMP kernel and when I boot it it doesn't seem to think there's anything thre but a normal UP CPU. Should it not show two CPUs in top, and in suitable places in /proc like the earlier OS did? (at least when running a SMP kernel) Ideas welcome. Help with XDMCP over SSH

I am trying to get XDMCP working over SSH on CentOS 4.4 from a windoze box running Cygwin/Putty I have set Enable=true in /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf restarted the X server, logged in with Putty and X11 forwarding enabled. I then try to start the Xserver with the following commands # gdmXnestchooser localhost or # Xnest :1 -query localhost Both commands will successfully display a X window and show the X mouse pointer but not the chooser. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks Dean
