network driver corruption? Interface disappeared

Hello, I've got a very unusual network interface issue on centos5. I'm setting up a router box, with two network interface cards, the first gets it's information from a dhcp server, the second is statically configured. I have no idea what happened, but yesterday the internal interface eth1 stopped showing up. An ifconfig eth1 showed the interface not found, but an ifconfig -a shows a strange __tmp interface. Hi people, Do you have pointers to web documents that help me make comparisons between buying a server with two quad core 2.33 ghz or buying a 4 dual core 2ghz server? I am trying to answer a question of performance. It is not important the redundancy/failover or the price of the server. Mail Restrictions with sendmail

Hi all, I am running sendmail with MailScanner on CentOS. I want to enable some restrictions. Restrictions are given below. All clients Currently can send Bcc from their workstations as usual. I want to disable (block Bcc) that feature. Can I do it from the Sendmail Server ? All clients currently can send Cc form their workstations as usual. I want to limit it. Let's say about 5 Cc s . All incoming mails are forwarded to another email address by using an alias . pls see below for , /etc/aliases john: john,mailbackup(a)example.com userx: userx,mailbackup(a)example.com The above for incoming mail. Can I make a copy of ALL OUTGOING mail to one email address? let's say mailoutgoing(a)example.com And also enabling quota. What is the best way to add quota? last feature is adding a Global Address Book. Let me explain about it. Let's say In MS exchange server, Whenever users are added, Those names will be available In a Global Address book. Then, No need to add email addresses to client's email programmes such as outlook express or MS outlook. Can I enable such a feature ? your comments are welcome. -- Thank you Indunil Jayasooriya

IBM X3200

Hi ppl . I am getting a IBM x3200.. This machine can only support up to 4 x 250GB SATA. I need to have a usable space of 500GB and mirror it to other 500GB. IBM proposed me to get 2 RAID cards. Do you guys think i can do raid 0 on the first 2 x 250GB HDD and raid 0 on the second 2 x 250GB hdd, both on hardware raid and then during the installation of centos 5, i raid 1 on both the 2 sets of hardware raids? Thanks
