Cannot find Tcl library(Sort of OT)

Hey All, I'm trying to build Tux Racer. I get: checking for tcl8.5 library... no checking for tcl83 library... no checking for tcl8.2 library... no checking for tcl82 library... no checking for tcl8.0 library... no checking for tcl80 library... no checking for tcl library... no configure: error: Cannot find Tcl library The install manual says I may have to pass some options to configure: Many people will be able to run configure without passing any options. The more commonly-used configure options are: --with-tcl-libs=DIR: Specify Tcl library location --with-tcl-inc=DIR: Specify Tcl header file location --with-tcl-lib-name=NAME: Specify Tcl library base name I have: [mlapier@mushroom ~]$ rpm -qa | grep -i tcl tclx-devel-8.4.0-15.el6.i686 tclx-8.4.0-15.el6.i686 tcl-brlapi-0.5.4-6.el6.i686 tcl-8.5.7-6.el6.i686 tcl-devel-8.5.7-6.el6.i686 tcl-pgtcl-1.6.2-3.el6.i686 [mlapier@mushroom ~]$ The problem I seem to have is that I don't know what to use to replace DIR: or NAME: to make it happy. Sound config

Hi All, I have been wrestling with this problem for months now and at my wits end. The sound is always very low and if I try to bring the sound louder by using the sound references icon on the top panel, the sound is choppy with lots of static. Output of lspci for the sound device is as follows: 01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GF108 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1) Please, could someone help me out to get this irritating problem solved? Use of CentOS name and logo

Hi. my name is Giacomo Sanchietti and I'm working for a company called Nethesis. We are working on a CentOS derived distribution like SME Server. It's a minimal CentOS with a software layer on top to add a web configuration interface. The CD iso, it's a CentOS minimal CD with some extras packages from centos-base yum group, and a kickstart file to automatize the installation process. We did not rebrand anaconda, so during installation (and first boot) CentOS logo and name will be visible. Is this a problem? Are there any legal issues? Do we need to rebrand all the distro? Off-Topic: Low Power Hardware

Hello, I'm slightly off-topic here, but it is somewhat CentOS related! I'm in search of some hardware that consumes a low amount of power for use as a test-bed for Linux, various coding projects, and LAN services. 1) Low power consumption (10-15W ... maybe 30W at most) 2) Must run Linux without too much fuss (CentOS or otherwise) 3) Must have two NICs (fast ethernet or better) 4) Memory - 1GB or better 5) Can be configurable either via serial or VGA. 6) Accepts a normal hard drive, not CF -- drive capacity is my concern. 7) spare PCI slot is a _plus_ (extra NICs or whatever else) 8) I'd like to keep the physical footprint to a minimum (size of a 1U switch or so?) Old Sun/Cobalt hardware (Raq4) from the early 2000s was brought to my attention by a friend, but that hardware is in low supply and the prices are outrageous for the specs/age of machine. *** I'm curious if there's certain hardware that you folks are using and fit all/most of my criteria. *** It would be cool if they made a Raspberry Pi with dual onboard NICs, but it still doesn't cut it since it takes SD cards and not a hard drive. Adding CA/Root SSL / TLS Certificate, HTTPS

Hi, I need to add my own and other/new self-signed ca/root cert in CentOS pki database/system, for all/most type of apps to use. Using "wget", i'm trying to securely(HTTPS) get gpg keys/files from https://fedoraproject.org/keys site, which is using root cert with following info: CN = GeoTrust Global CA O = GeoTrust Inc. C= US MD5 f7:75:ab:29:fb:51:4e:b7:77:5e:ff:05:3c:99:8e:f5 I have tried: wget https://fedoraproject.org/static/DE7F38BD.txt But 'wget' showed following warning, its not able to verify cert & failing to download file over HTTPS : [wget msg] ... Connecting to fedoraproject.org|85.236.55.6|:443... connected. ERROR: certificate common name *.fedoraproject.org fedoraproject.org To connect to fedoraproject.org insecurely, use --no-check-certificate. [end of wget msg] Also tried: rpm --import https://fedoraproject.org/static/DE7F38BD.txt but no new gpg key inside the /etc/pki/rpm-gpg directory HOW TO MANUALLY ADD CA/ROOT CERT IN CENTOS ? (as I need to add OTHER self-signed root cert in CentOS pki database, for all apps to use). so that wget, rpm or other apps can use them without warning. if a self-signed CA/root cert is added in /etc/nssdb/cert8.db then would it allow apps which use nssdb, to use the new root cert automatically ? how to manually add new root cert inside cert8.db or cert9.db ? is it using sqlite ? and, if a self-signed CA/root cert is added inside /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.trust.crt or in /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt then would that allow apps which use it to automatically use this/these CA-bundles ? what apps can be used to manually add more CA/root certs in those bundles ? can OpenSSL or GnuTLS be used to print out root cert in the format (compatible with and) which can be added inside those CA-bundles ? Storing and restoring sound settings

Hello, I have made a bootable CD (with revisor) of CentOS 6. The CD boots and starts a game automatically (for an exhibition). I have one problem: The default sound settings are not correct. After the machine is booted, I have to open gnome-volume-control, select "Hardware", and select "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output" under "Profile". How can I set this up automatically? Minimum requirements for CentOS 4,5,6

Hey everyone, I'm trying to compile a document to send out to our customers that outlines the minimum and recommended requirements to run C4, C5, and C6. Does anyone know the particulars? When we order systems, it's usually Pentium Dual Core CPU, 120GB+ Hard drive, 2GB Ram. I need the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM requirements to install and run any of the aforementioned flavors as a "basic server".
