I should probably find either the amavis or clam list(s) and take this there? Anyway, I have totally rebuilt my machine with clean installs. I have spent time carefully (I hope!) studying the amavis and clamav conf files before starting them and running the tests. Anything Like Solaris' Live Upgrade?

Does anyone know of any sort of Linux utility that does something like what Solaris' Live Upgrade (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19455-01/806-7933/index.html) does? Installing RHEL On Laptop.....

Not sure if this is the right place to come to, but I don't have "RHN" support.....I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I have downloaded the RHEL .ios file and burned it to DVD/CD, my laptop is primed to Boot From CD/ROM Drive, I start the installation using the semi-graphical interface, and the first few options are a breeze, then it gets to identifying the CD drive and it asks me which driver I want to use....there's only a list of about 10 and NONE of them work, when I select it, … [View More]it searches for a minute, then it goes back to the "Install Your CD Drive" screen. Is there some way to skip this part? or to have the install disc automatically find this info? Did I download the wrong version of RHEL? Mail notification in panel/system tray on CentOS 6

Hi. Does anyone know of a way to add a "new mail" notification icon to the panel/system tray under CentOS 6? On CentOS 5, I used the "mail-notification" software package provided by the Fedora "EPEL" distribution, but this is gone from the version 6 repository, and the one from version 5 won't install just like that due to dependency issues. I don't know if this file comes from clam or amavis-new, but.... Alias for sending email messages from root

I have run into what can only be described as a farce but one that is outside my control and which I need fixed. I am informed that my cell phone service provider, Bell Canada, will not allow any email messages from a user id 'root' to pass through their email to sms text gateway. Now, I send alerts out from cron and other system monitoring software and these all go out as root(a)host.domain.tld. Is there any way to configure the outgoing address to be something else? HI I have a git bare repo on centos 6.3 ( with selinux off) the config is: [core] repositoryformatversion = 0 filemode = true bare = true sharedRepository = all ( or true or group) chmod -R g+rs objects when git pushed the changes from remote ssh . the new file under objects are not writable. e.g.: -r--r--r--. 1 myuser mygroup 156 Jan 29 22:22 objects/fa/905054c795a3b7e5c244bfc6f3a30a0277c6d0 what could be wrong? thanks. min

yum killed, ipa\* and xorg\* a mess
