Mail Merge data to a pdf file by overlaying the data on the image

Everyone, I am looking for a utility that I can use to do a mail merge of data to a pdf image file. The image file does not have any active fields, but will be just an image file. I would like to overlay names addresses etc. We currently do this with a pcl file by just overlaying the data with pcl print positions. However, in order to get the pcl file from an original pdf file we have to use gimp to convert the pdf to pcl file, and we always lose a little resolution. I was wondering if … [View More]

heavy IO load when working with sparse files (centos 6.4)

Dear List, We have noticed a variety of reproducible conditions working with sparse files on multiple servers under load with CentOS 6.4. The short story is that processes that read / write sparse files with large "holes" can generate an IO storm. Oddly, this only happens with holes and not with the sections of the files that contain data. Chromium browser for C6

I found this bug fix report http://lwn.net/Articles/616130/ I thought we were not able to get Chromium for C6. Apparently it looks like the work has been already done. Is it possible we (hi Johnny) can get this package into C6? This would be a wonderful addition to CentOS 6. Please and thank you.

Hey All, Has anyone had trouble with Firefox/Thunderbird? When I log on if I start Thunderbird first then I can't start Firefox. Clicking on a link in an email fails to start Firefox. If I start Firefox before Thunderbird then hyperlinks in emails open a page in the existing Firefox instance. Other users on this same machine are having the same problems. Hi All, I am switching from Fedora20 to CentOS7 since I now run all my Linux development in a VM and I get a more robust feature set (i.e. shared folders with the host that "just work", etc) The only issue I have thus far is VPN connections. CentOs 7.0 and reboot failure

Everyone, I have installed Centos 7.0 on my homework machine in order to take a test drive with it, and am low on the learning curve with it at this point. I have a small Gateway SX2855-UB12P.
