"BUG: soft lockup - CPU#n stuck for X s! [swapper:0]"

I just updated my quad-processor X64 machine (AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor) to the latest CentOS 5 xen kernel (2.6.18-371.4.1.el5xen) and I am getting occasional "BUG: soft lockup - CPU#n stuck for X s! [swapper:0]" messages. I did some net searching, and found some bugzilla reports (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=649519 and http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=4488) but neither are shown as resolved. The machine *seems* to be running alright (it is not hanging or anything). Is this something I need to worry about? Should I revert to the older kernel (2.6.18-371.3.1.el5xen)? Virtual Hosts question

I am running Wordpress on a CentOS 6.5 server which is behind a router. The private IP is 192.168.0.99, the public URL is X.com (name changed). I have two virtual hosts in my httpd.conf file. The second one, listed below, is for Wordpress and it is accessed with http://X.com/d4i or http://www.X.com/d4i. They work fine. Actually, not show, I have more Wordpress virtual hosts, and they are accessed with http://X.com/s1, http://X.com/s2, etc. and they work. I want the first virtual host to be a default and accessed whenever a user types http://X.com (no sub directory). There is a valid /var/www/html/index.html file. Unfortunately it doesn't work. The error is "Directory index forbidden by Options directive: /var/www/wordpress/" and googling didn't help. I have my httpd.conf and error.log below. Console access to kvm guest running WindowsV7

i86_64 CentOS-6.5 I have installed a Windows instance as a kvm guest on a host running CentOS-6.5. I can access the desktop through the virt-manager console and everythign seems to work, although the mouse cursor seems to get lost from time to time. The virt-manager console display supports various resolutions but when I re-size the desktop display remains essentially a square inside a letter box. What other methods are available to open the windows desktop from the CentOS-6.5 host console or by remote access that allow me to have a re-sizable MS-Windows desktop display for this guest running on my normal (gnome2) desktop? NFS not recognizing available file space

Hi, I have a server running under CentOS 5.8 and I appear to be in a situation in which the NFS file server is not recognizing the available space on a particular disk (actually a hardware RAID-6 of 13 2Tb disks). If I try to write to the disk I get the following error message [root@nas-0-1 mseas-data-0-1]# touch dum touch: cannot touch `dum': No space left on device However, if I check the available space, there seems to be plenty [root@nas-0-1 mseas-data-0-1]# df -h . Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sdb1 21T 20T 784G 97% /mseas-data-0-1 [root@nas-0-1 mseas-data-0-1]# df -i . Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on /dev/sdb1 3290047552 4391552 3285656000 1% /mseas-data-0-1 I don't know if the following is relevant but the disk in question is served as one of 3 bricks in a gluster namespace. Based on the test with touch, which is happening directly at the NFS level, this seems to be an NFS rather than gluster issue. I couldn't find any file in /var/log which had a time that corresponded to the failed touch test and I didn't see anything in dmesg. We have tried rebooting this system. What else should we look at and/or try to resolve or debug this issue? Thanks. LVM works just fine while offering additional functionality whether used by the "ordinary" user or not. Offer up concrete evidence as to how LVM vs partitions is any less dangerous on any SPoF failure system. Install without LVM -

Pan in 6.2??

I can't seem to get a way to install Pan in CentOS, and I need it badly. I follow most busy lists, including this one, on Gmane using Pan (and, no, Gmane per Web is no use to me. I have some obscure allergy to webmail). Does anyone know an rpm (one of Fedora's, for instance) that I can install and not immerse myself in dependency hell?

Last time I checked on RPM Pbone search, there was not a current packe\age compatible with Centos 6. I took one from SRPM from rawhide and rebuilt it. The newer packages have a different kind on init script that Fedora uses.

Is there a package for zoneminder in the std repos (base, rpmfusion, epel), or just on rpmforge? mark "unless someone's got a security DVR to loan us for testing...."
