CentOS 7: Missing Thunderbird Updates

Hi, Looks like CentOS 7 hasn't shipped Thunderbird updates for a while. The latest I see in repos is: Sep 1 15:22 thunderbird-91.13.0-1.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm Perusing through the RHEL announcements, that was from the RHSA-2022:6169-01 on 2022-08-24. Seems none of the 102.x versions have shipped: 2022-09-26 RHSA-2022:6710-01 thunderbird-102.3.0-3.el7_9.x86_64.rpm 2022-10-18 RHSA-2022:6998-01 thunderbird-102.3.0-4.el7_9.x86_64.rpm 2022-10-25 RHSA-2022:7184-01 thunderbird-102.4.0-1.el7_9.x86_64.rpm And for completeness, just announced today: 2022-11-21 RHSA-2022:8555-01 thunderbird-102.5.0-2.el7_9.x86_64.rpm Thanks in advance for efforts to find and clear the blockage!

CentOS 9 Stream mirrorlist url's

Hi, I'm trying to port a CentOS 8 Stream kickstart file to CentOS 9 Stream, but I cannot find what repo mirrorlist url's I now have to use. For CentOS 8 Stream I had: repo --name=centos-baseos --mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=8-stream&arch=x86_64&repo=BaseOS repo --name=centos-appstream --mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=8-stream&arch=x86_64&repo=AppStream repo --name=centos-extras --mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=8-stream&arch=x86_64&repo=Extras repo --name=centos-powertools --mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=8-stream&arch=x86_64&repo=PowerTools Just replacing the 8 by 9 does not work, as those url's produce an "Invalid release/repo/arch combination" error. UNfortunately I couldn't find info about this on the CentOS site so far. Install PHP 8.1.12 on CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core).

Hi, I am running CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core). I have enabled both epel and IUS repositories to install https://www.php.net/ChangeLog-8.php#8.1.12. It is not available. Do I need to install and enable any other repository to install PHP 8.1.12? #php -v PHP 8.1.12 (cli) (built: Oct 25 2022 17:30:00) (NTS gcc x86_64) Copyright (c) The PHP Group Zend Engine v4.1.12, Copyright (c) Zend Technologies with Zend OPcache v8.1.12, Copyright (c), by Zend Technologies Please guide me. nvme fs block size advice

Hi! So, i have nvme which reports the following (lsblk -t): NAME ALIGNMENT MIN-IO OPT-IO PHY-SEC LOG-SEC ROTA SCHED RQ-SIZE RA WSAME nvme0n1 0 131072 131072 32768 4096 0 none 1023 256 0B the nvme ns is formated with LBA=1 (4k) option (which is the second option after 512) but both lsblk and parted report sector size logical/physical as 4k/32k The question is : what block size should i use (is optimal) for file-system? Should i try a 32k blocksize? Thanks a lot! Adrian

Trouble with kernel-3.10.0-1160.80.1.el7.x86_64

Is anyone else experiencing trouble with kernel-3.10.0-1160.80.1.el7.x86_64? I'm seeing a kernel panics in the kvm module on one of our VM hosts with it. Hi, I am running two GCP GCE VM instances running CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core) behind https load balancer. I am using https://cloud.google.com/filestore#documentation to mount the nfs server common mount point to both client servers. #mount 10.0.0.2:/vol1 /mnt/test I did chown -Rc deployuser:deployuser (user:group) /mnt/test. When the php code uploads any file to the /mnt/test folder, the file permission is owned by php-fpm:php-fpm (user:group) Please guide and let me know how to set it to the default permissions of deployuser:deployuser (user:group) for all files and folders created in nfs server common point /mnt/test. Sorry, my misunderstanding. LibreOffice on CentOS 7

I am running the default version of LibreOffice 5.3.6.1 on CentOS 7. This is quite an old version and has a serious bug in Calc, possibly an errant pointer, that frequently locks up spreadsheets. Has anyone installed a later version of LO on CentOS 7? I would prefer a version that is not flatpak, snap or appimage etc...
