Pulling Hair Out - TWiki 4.2 on CentOS 5

I thought I would turn here before giving up. I am trying to install Twiki 4.2 on CentOS 5 with all updates. (I also tried Twiki 4.1.2 as well) I am running a custom rolled Apache 2.2.8 server and custom rolled PHP 5.2.6 (built with oracle support). These work and are rock solid. I've been using the same config with very heavy duty scripts and php applications with no issues. When trying to run /twiki/bin/configure I get the following error when clicking "Next": Software error: Use of uninitialized value in substitution (s///) at (eval 25) line 23. The Apache error log says pretty much the same thing. (like 23 by the way points to a commented line; the first 100 or so lines in this script are comments.. If I don't count the commented lines there is no search regexp anywhere near line 23) I then tried version 4.1.2 and the same thing. I googled and found numerous other people having this problem. I have found no responses or solutions. The twiki support site has yielded nothing as well. Just hoping someone here might have sorted this out.. I have set up dozens of twiki sites but haven't played with it in a 2 years or so and wondering... It was never this difficult before.. Three of us have now triple checked every file permissions, installation step, system pre-requisite, etc... Thanks for any help, CC

Hi Anne, I have many servers running clamav, simply use the dag repos http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/ and install it via yum "yum install clamav clamd" then run freshclam, thats it. Kernel panic - not syncing: CPU context corrupt

Hi, Is there someone on this mailing list who could/want help me figure out this issue? We do not know where to look to solve this. --- Description --- This is a brand new server, which has been tested for days with FreeBSD in our office, and a few days with Windows on the site of our hardware distributor. Now customer wants CentOS, which we installed, but after few days we get a kernel panic. Last night at 2:08 it gave the same kernel panic. Please tell me what information I should give you and most important how to get it from the system, because we do not have experience with CentOS (only FreeBSD). I would be very surprised if this is hardware related. We use the same hardware for several years, and run FreeBSD on it very successfully. It is a SuperMicro PDSMI+ motherboard with 3ware raid controller (8006-2LP). CPU is Xeon 3040 1.8 Ghz EM64 2MB 1066FSB (65W). Memory is DDR 2 Trancend 2048MB ECC Unbuffered 800. Error message on console is in "Additional Information". What will the upgrade to 5.2 be like?

I have a few servers that I really have to build already. Got to buckle down and get it done; no more waiting for 5.2 as a 'reason' to put it off for another day. I will be building a local repository for 5.2 as soon as the ISOs are posted (well as soon as my 768Kb DSL link will allow), so what am I looking at for the 'cost' of the upgrade?

Autofs and mount/umount entries in the nfs server logs

I am using autofs for a number of machines connecting nfs shares. All the mount and unmount log entries on the server are being saved to /var/log/messages currently. This is becoming a bit of a pain because as the number of hosts increase and various monitoring scripts check to be sure that they have access to the nfs shares it is filling up messages on the nfs server. I would like to continue to see these messages but I would like to see them put else where but looking through the documentation for syslog I couldn't find any way to separate just those messages out. I assume(hope) that someone else has run into this problem and found a way around it. My googlefoo has failed me on this one though I might just not be looking for the right thing. Thanks, Rob

Has a wiki entry been created for this yet? A search of wiki.centos.org hasn't come up with anything useful. Logitech cordless desktop ex 90

Anyone using ex 90? I have it running, no problem. Only mouse was little tricky, namely in X. But jut a little change in xorg.conf and everything works fine (CO 5.1 desktop install with vanilla kernel). Now would like to get keyboards extra buttons in use. Question is, anyone configured it allready, or do I have to invent wheel? again :D Jarmo

All, Apologies for cluttering the list, but I just wanted to say hello and prepare all for a barage of silly discussions from a tech-hypochondriac! We have recently purchased two servers running CentOS, and as I'm from more of a Debian based background, it would be good if someone could point out the two or three main differences please? I'm reading up on the package management as I type, but any quick tips and tricks for (web) server admin with CentOS would be magic. Sorry for being cheeky!
