Hey, Lance mentioned yum group install. This yum group capability makes the "server" CD's more versatile than the name implies -- you only need a broadband connection to get any kind of CentOS install you want. Start with a minimal install off the CD, and then use the yum group install to conveniently get the same install you could get off the 3 CD set (only more up to date). The cAos (single) install CD takes full advantage of the yum group install capability. > This single CD iso ... has also been designed for > covermount magazine use. It seems that part of the motivation for the single CD is to promote CentOS. Toward that end, it might be good to emphasize that the "server" single CD can be used to install desktop, workstation and custom CentOS systems, too. Thank you, Lance. Not the answer your looking for, but I think I remember reading on another list that these cards are not true hardware RAID and they are simple IDE controllers with BIOS and drivers to do software RAID. It might be worth just using the Linux software RAID as this should work with no problems. in CentOS 3.4, mod_auth_ldap ?

I'm coming from FC3 and moving to CentOS 3.4. I have been using mod_auth_ldap for some time now with Apache 2.x and authenticating to my Microsoft ADS without problems, here's my article on how that worked: http://www.turnpike420.net/linux/Apache_ADS_AuthLDAP.txt However, I have come to find out that CentOS 3.4 only comes with mod_authz_ldap and when I did some reading on it, doesn't seem like it will work with M ADS at all. Any thoughts on how I can get mod_auth_ldap (not authz) functional with my CentOS 3.4 and where to get it?? thanks, David McD

Promise FastTrak TX2000

Does anyone have this card working in hardware RAID mode? I can see the individual ATA drivers when booting. The promise site has drivers for Redhat 7.3,8 and 9, but nothing for higher. I see the source code, and can build the module, but I need it loaded at boot time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sean
