yum issue

I am trying to update a newly installed server and this is what i get when i yum update: Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: CentOS-3.3 - Addons retrygrab() failed for: http://mirror.centos.org/centos-3/3.3/addons/i386/headers/header.info Executing failover method failover: out of servers to try Error getting file http://mirror.centos.org/centos-3/3.3/addons/i386/headers/header.info [Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error > I went as far as to redownload and reburn the cd1(which is al i use for setups). Yeah, that's how mine worked too, only it used version comparison to handle the case where multiple new updates for the same package appeared simultaneously (which can happen if the script doesn't run frequently enough or a quickie-fix is required. Mysql B0rked - new install - confused

Hi Folks, I've just done my first two Centos installs, having moved over from WB..er..never mind. I seem to be stuck with mysql - it's not installing; well, on one system it starts but there's no /var/lib/mysql folder or socket file and on the other, mysql just doesn't seem to be there at all. I have done a 'yum remove mysql' and then a 'yum install mysql' on the first system and it's not helped! Can anyone point me in the right direction to put this right. Thanks. NK

perl dependency problems in dag's repo

Hi I know this might not be the right list. There are some dependency problems with perl packages in dag's repo. This is not the first perl package which doesn't install because of this kind of dependency. Any idea? Resolving dependencies .....Unable to satisfy dependencies Package ldap-account-manager needs perl(Net::SSH::Perl), this is not available. Package ldap-account-manager needs perl(Quota), this is not available. Thanks Sophana
